Full Event Management and Event Marketing
Objective
Venturefest is an annual event that has been running for over 10 years, bringing together three core groups: Venture Capital Investors, Innovators with Ideas that are ready for Investment and Entrepreneurs eager to build new and growing businesses. An innovative approach to the event was required but still maintaining the essential elements which had made it such a successful event, with a greater emphasis on marketing the event to those who had not previously attended.
Implementation
Happening were responsible for the Full Event Management for this event, which involved a programme of Parallel Sessions, Technology Showcase and Exhibition. A new one – day format was introduced, in a new venue which allowed ample space for networking and private meeting space, if required. An aggressive marketing campaign, which included on-line marketing and the use of social networking sites was effective in reaching the target audience, complimented by a Public Relations Campaign.
Dinner in Wadham College, Oxford was a fitting end to a successful networking day.
Results
The Event attracted just over 1000 delegates from across the UK and was rated between good and excellent by 81%, with 45% attending the event for the first time, with 92% intending to the attend the following year.
