ILCCL 2008 - Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception will be held in the glazed Galleria which links the world class 10,600 seat Arena to the BT Convention Centre.

The Wine & Canapé reception will offer the 1st International Lung Cancer Conference delegates the opportunity for networking with others in the Spectacular setting of the newly built Arena and Convention centre which is a landmark addition to Liverpool’s famous waterfront skyline.

ILCCL 2008 - Invited Speakers Dinner

The Town Hall is an elegant stone building, having two fronts; one towards Castle Street, the other towards the area formed by the New Exchange Buildings.  Each front consists of an elegant range of Corinthian columns, supporting a pediment, and are themselves supported by a rustic base. Between the capitals are heads and emblems of commerce in basso-relievo; and on the pediment of the grand front is a noble piece of sculpture representing Commerce committing her treasures to the race of Neptune.

The Internationally famous Adelphi Hotel is a superbly appointed hotel in the very heart of Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008. The hotel originally dates back to 1826, but was extensively rebuilt in 1912 to cater for passengers from large cruise liners, whose home port was Liverpool.  Namely all the White Star Line ships, who were based in Liverpool, the most famous of which was the Titanic.
